SFA chairman receives MBE at Palace of Holyroodhouse investiture

Chairman of Shetland Fishermen’s Association Leslie Tait received his MBE from the Queen at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in today.

Mr Tait was named in the New Year Honours list for services to the fishing industry.

Mr Tait, from Trondra, spent 34 years at sea and has been chairman of the SFA for the past eight years. Prior to that he had been the chairman of the Shetland Fish Producers’ Organisation for a period of eight years.

He attended the investiture in Edinburgh with members of his family.
